Starting May 1, Cirdan Group began providing project management support to the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE). Cirdan will provide expert knowledge in project management and large scale government IT systems development, specifically in the health care field. In addition, Cirdan will work with the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH), and the Department of Human Resources (DHR) to implement several of the key aspects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). To that end, Cirdan will assist with the project that will develop the required information technology and operational capabilities to establish Maryland’s Health Insurance Exchange (HIX), which will provide residents and small businesses with the capability to compare and enroll in health plans.
“We look forward to providing support to the historic Maryland Health Benefit Exchange System,” said Sean Tulenko, Director of Consulting Services. “The information technology systems that result from this partnership will be some of the most important IT systems in Maryland’s history, and we are honored to have the opportunity to contribute to this effort.”
Cirdan Group is a project management consulting firm focused on helping government and commercial customers implement effective project management solutions and enhance program and project performance.
