Methodology

Cirdan Group utilizes a performance-driven methodology to achieve project and client success. Whatever the scope of our task, we understand that success begins with clear definition of client needs, expectations, requirements, and metrics to gauge performance, and is ensured through the continuous measurement of performance throughout project execution and closure. Grounded in Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices, our methodology includes repeatable processes that optimize client performance.

Initiate.

The importance of a project’s early stages is universally underestimated. To prevent failures associated with ambiguity and misinterpretation, Cirdan Group works with clients to elicit an accurate, detailed, and measurable understanding of project scope. Needs and expectations are transformed into performance metrics and quality standards, including quality criteria, quality metrics, quality targets, and acceptance criteria for all deliverables and services.

Plan.

Our experience has taught us the importance of comprehensive, detailed, and long-term planning. Using the CGM framework, Cirdan Group develops project management plans specifically designed to achieve quality and performance goals. Requirement specifications are defined to be complete, specific, and measurable with clear traceability to the scope. As requirements are verified, we help our clients validate scope, quality standards, and performance metrics and make updates as necessary to continuously optimize performance.

Execute.

Cirdan Group ensures that all work is executed as planned. In doing so, we are able to maintain performance and quality integrity. To stay on time, on budget, and on task, we execute defined control plans to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk. Quality and performance are continuously monitored so that necessary corrective actions may be implemented in time to prevent negative impacts. Further, we evaluate the results of quality and performance assessments to identify necessary adjustments to project processes and quality standards.

Close.

Project closure is too frequently rushed, and organizations typically fail to utilize project performance information to optimize future performance. The CGM framework calls for thorough project closure execution to ensure lasting project success, true client acceptance and satisfaction, and continuous improvement. Cirdan Group begins project closure with a final assessment of project performance based on the quality standards and performance metrics defined in the Initiation Phase and refined throughout the life cycle. Project closure activities do not proceed until we achieve all quality thresholds and secure client acceptance. All stakeholders are then involved in an exploration of lessons learned and definition of process improvements to establish a foundation for future project successes.
